Rasberry Head Callochromis

The rasberry part of the name of the Rasberry Head Callochromis refers to the ruby red color that develops on the top of the head and shoulders of this cichlid. Callochromis tend to hover in the aquarium about six inches above the substrate and will school if enough are present. These Tanganyikans are mouth brooders, hardy, peaceful, but seldom seen in the aquarium trade.
