Banded Darter Tetra
The silver darter tetra, or banded darter tetra, is much hardier and aquarium safe than the weitzmani tetra, or black darter tetra. The silver darter tetra are caught in Colombia and roam in large schools in the shallow areas of streams. The darter moves along the the aquarium like a goby and these fish are sometimes called goby tetras. A small school of these fish make quite a site roaming along the bottom of the tank. Silver darter tetras will scavange and eat flake and small pellet food.
