Black Venezuelan Cory
The black Venezuelan cory are a rare treat. When first imported to Germany in the 1990s these were thought to be a variation of the cory aeneus species but these are correctly the corydoras schulzei. The other thing the German’s got wrong was the origin – the black venezuelan cory comes from Peru. These mid-size peaceful cory are coal black with rust to red fins. Like all cory they are best kept with one or more tank mates since they are social catfish. Expensive – but hardy and very effective scavengers.
