Picasso Clownfish

Picasso Clownfish are a highly sought after variant of the Percula Clownfish and one of the first hybrid bred clownfish bred for the saltwater aquarium trade. The Picasso variant occurs naturally in the Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea, but these fish are rare and not traded in the fish hobby. ORAs strain of Picassos originated in 2004 from a single wild male from the Solomon Islands, which they paired with a typical Onyx female. In subsequent years ORA® has added additional wild collected Picassos into their breeding program. Most Picasso clowns in the industry can be traced back to ORAs breeding program.
