Description

Labout’s Wrasse

Labouts Wrasse is a species of wrasse native to the coral reefs of New Caledonia and Australia, where it occurs at depths of 7 to 55 m. This species can reach a total length of 5 to 6 inches. Almost unreal in coloration and markings, the Labouti Fairy Wrasse is a sought after fish for it’s unusual appearance. Relatively easy to adapt in captivity but less frequently collected, the Labouti Fairy Wrasse will be shy upon introduction but become more bold in time and spend more time actively in the water column. Will hide and never feed if continually harassed. If you will have more than one, add all females and other fairy wrasses first as the male Labouti Fairy Wrasse might behave aggressively to any new introductions.
